Not possible to do Step 2. There is everytime a location error. You have to set the region before you start i.e.: gcloud config set compute/region us-central1

Currently, I am not able to complete this LAB Task 2 - Create a Cloud SQL instance I keep receiving this error WARNING: Starting with release 233.0.0, you will need to specify either a region or a zone to create an instance. I cannot complete the lab. I try connecting to the cloud shell instance, and it does not connect even when I let it sit there for the full hour.

Lab outdated: when creating instance, need to specify zone otherwise we get an error (btw instance creation takes a lot of time guys!!)

Region had to be specified when creating SQL instance: --region=us-east1
