- "VPC Connectivity" navigation menu - the note says that you "could" stop VMs and remove the External IPs, but it doesn't say that you "shouldn't" do it for the purpose of the lab at least until all the checks for all the steps are complete, because it seems that to validate that all the ping tests were executed it requires the External IPs, otherwise, the checks fail even though the ping tests were executed as instructed.
