The mynet-eu-vm was incorrectly pre-created in us-central1-f zone (not one in eu) which put it in the same private subnet as mynet-us-vm. With this configuration vm-appliance can reach mynet-eu-vm even though it's not correct based on the instructions.

the predeined vm zone were different in the lab an the lab materials, so some of questios/answers were different in real and in the lab material, but the goal was reached.

In Task 2 it's missing the step to add a new interface. It was not possible in my case to edit the existing from "default" to "managementnet" and then select the proper subnet. This was only possible when adding a new interface.
