we don't seem to be using the entire git history for the training data, so a faster way to load the data is `git clone https://github.com/GoogleCloudPlatform/training-data-analyst --depth=1`

The lab should take into account the student can use a different region if us-central1-a is not available and walk through accordingly. I finished this lab successfully. However the progress never gets updated.
