couldn't understand that was it compulsary that the UDP port 53 is needed to be opened for egress rules

Very good lab. It would help to explain in a little more detail why a DNS policy is needed for egress but not ingress. The first steps are very confusing due to recent changes in the GCP UI. Basically, there are a lot more options now, and some of the labels are different. Also, it starts by pushing you toward auto-pilot. So, basically, the instructions and screencaps need to be reviewed and revised.
