Not able to check work correctly

I must be doing something wrong but every time I save to an existing dashboard for an existing dashboard and then click on the hyperlink, my newly created dashboard doesn't appear. I am able to get the added dashboard to appear but I do so by a lot of various clicking. What am I doing wrong?
