Got an error when running the command in step 3. It was not an error covered by the note, it was some sort of permission denied error. I just tried running the command again and this time it failed with a different error, something about a cpu limit. I tried a 3rd time and this time if worked finally. However when I did check completion button it didn't recognise the step had been completed. The command has finished at this point and I was able to complete step 4 already. Eventually after several minutes step 3 completion was recognised why I checked again. Apart from these annoyances I'd also comment that you don't really get a feel of things from this lab, you just execute some commands but don't really gain an good understanding.

I don't feel I learned anything about dataproc here. Looks like it's all burried inside dataproc-templates.
