The instructions are incorrect. Not sure why you need to run the Cloud AI Platform twice to train the model. Also there is no instructions saying you need to enable the AI Platform API. You need to train the model to its completion

Why the model is not being trained in python with some proper model like regression? as python is mostly used as a language for ML not big query
