a couple spots where i had to do a bunch of retrfies. also, we hadn;t set the default region correctly and i was asked to set it during a build.

I could successfully redo a release after the first try failed because of a formatting issue in my yaml file. But my progress could not be checked, even though I could promote the second try. 2nd try worked out
