If you are playing labs on a browser on a Linux (firefox, chromium, chrome...) , SSH through cloud shell on a compute instance will fail, I did fix the problem by playing this command before to connect and it could be given in the exercice : gcloud compute instances add-metadata $VM --project="$PROJECT" --zone="$ZONE" --metadata=enable-oslogin=FALSE
