python runtime 37 is not supported any more so I had to use 38 which ran fine but the check for the App Engine task could not be verified.

Python runtime error due to Version 3.7 being depreciated. Tried to run 3.8, but the course progress check stopped working as a result.

Cannot complete the lab because of error in task 2. Contacted the tech support and it was confirmed that many users are running into the same issue and that Coursera will let me know when the lab is fine.
