2nd time trying to finish this lab, got stuck on the create a VM step, I created a vm with everything on default except region (as the lab asks to create it on a different region than the app engine app) and the step never checked correctly

on this step: "Change the region to someplace other than us-east1 (the App Engine app is in us-east1). Accept all the rest of the defaults and click Create." If you create an instance in a region different to us-east1 as it is mentioned it will not update your progress. However, if you create an instance in us-east1 it does mark the progress maybe it was a glitch on my side or the instructions are confusing.

Basically this lab started well - add an package and a library and you get monitoring! :-) Then a lot of text is to read :( Many of the outcomes are noch clear, I had to search a lot in the cloud console, which is not intuitive for monitoring services. Basically the lab shows the maturity of tracking, monitoring and alerting, which is unfortunately quite poor.
