Add both projects to monitor in Stackdriver. Create a group to monitor, Create uptime check, alert policies, dashboard for monitoring, Monitor the metrics of the virtual machine *instance*s in both projects when the instance goes down and after coming back live. Thank You (StackDriver)

When creating the uptime check, clicking Test always failed. I tried this several times before giving up and moving on only to then realize that the uptime check WAS actually working. I was never able to get a green checkmark to confirm that I created a group in stackdriver. I ended up restarting the lab several times to try to get this to work, since I wanted to get credit for full completion of the lab. However, once again I had to just give up and complete the lab. The dashboard we created using the metric specified is hard to interpret. It is giving a ms measurement for the uptime check (???) or something. I don't understand what the chart is communicating. It is not useful like the prebuilt charts you can get from clicking on the uptime check link from the main monitoring page. Also, I think it would have been good to show how you can create a group that encompasses all of both projects, since this will be a useful scenario for a lot of enterprise customers.
