I recently completed the "Deploy a Compute Instance with a Remote Startup Script: Challenge Lab" on Cloud Skill Boost, which provided an excellent opportunity to deepen my understanding of Google Cloud's Compute Engine. This lab challenged me to configure a Linux Compute Engine instance that installs the Apache web server using a remote startup script stored in a Cloud Storage bucket. I also created a firewall rule to allow HTTP traffic and verified that the VM was serving web content correctly. This hands-on experience was invaluable in enhancing my skills in managing VM configurations and automating deployments with startup scripts.
