it was funny, however some fixes: CloudShell was not setup properly, I had to set the project and the env var to be able to proceed. Also the steps contain gsutil command while we get a deprecation warning, if this is a learnin site it should use the newer approach, right? there's a typo in the index.php comment "Secret Manger" there's a 9th point about opening the Apache site in a browser window, browsers using HTTPS in 2026 which won't work for this lab aand somehow my VM which I created in the first stage mutated into a different VM (name and type at least), while the public IP was the same, cloud init did not run, so I had to install Apache and PHP manually after SSH in, tried to check what happened in logs but gave up after a few minutes
