In the "Awwvision: Cloud Vision API from a Kubernetes Cluster" lab, I gained hands-on experience with deploying and managing a Kubernetes Engine cluster. I learned how to create and configure a cluster, deploy a sample app using the Cloud Vision API, and use Cloud Pub/Sub to coordinate tasks between multiple worker instances. The lab provided valuable insights into integrating machine learning capabilities within a Kubernetes environment, allowing me to classify and display images from Reddit's /r/aww subreddit in a web app. This practical exercise enhanced my understanding of Kubernetes, Cloud Vision API, and the seamless deployment of containerized applications.
