to many things to do in short time. You don't have the time to understand the code in the cells.Also in the last steps the Clould Shell console timesout (while you are in Jupiter doing stuff).After login back again the $PROJECT_ID value is missing.Someone who doesn't have advanced Linux knowledge to setup again the variable, will not know what to do from this step beyond.
