Nice overview of how to run & port Spark from local HDFS to DataProc. Would be nice to examine the GCP specific commands on command line & in the notebook more thoroughly, or with more documentation provided.

I deleted this magic line in the code as described in the part-2 of lab: %matplotlib inline I'm still getting this error... Writing to qwiklabs-gcp-00-458e680d5c96 Traceback (most recent call last): File "spark_analysis.py", line 2, in <module> ax = attack_stats.toPandas().plot.bar(x='protocol_type', subplots=True, figsize=(10,25)) NameError: name 'attack_stats' is not defined Most of the labs are faulty and I can't even submit my feedback now...Great!!

Nice end to end example. Only thing to suggest was that it didn't say to leave the others as defaults on the cluster setup. I changed my region to closer to me and then had to mod some of the commands/files later to match instead of uscentral region.
