Found the lab made it confusing when to use a CROSS JOIN and when to use a UNNEST. i.e in the final example you can just complete the predicate with the split time and it would give the same answer as the UNNEST solution. In all the examples there wasn't a need to UNNEST you can just fill in the predicates, order by and group by to get the same answer with less code.
