This lab is not useful, if the objective is to learn how to make an application use Spanner, unless perhaps for those who know java script. Java script is not listed as a prerequisite. I do not know it, and although I looked at the two files specified, I didn't see anything like, for example, anything that seemed to set up the connection to the Spanner database. The lab might be useful if, for example, you called attention to, and explained, the specific lines in the files that set up the Spanner connection, and perhaps the lines that perform CRUD operations against Spanner.
