BigQuery in JupyterLab on Vertex AI Reviews

Again the documentation is poor. Example: When the tab loads, if you notice a link entitled Enable Notebooks API, click that link to allow the background Notebooks API to be upgraded. The upgrade will occur promptly. Why did I spend 5-10 minutes looking for a link called Enable Notebooks API? I'm not dumb, but am new to GCP. Why does it not say something like "A popup containing "Enable Notebooks API" may or may not show. If it does just click on "Enable Notebooks API", otherwise it's already updated and you can just continue onto the next step." ------------ Example Click on the New Instance icon on the top of the page. On my page there is no "New Instance" there is a "New Notebook". Why are these things not corrected???????? Do you not have enough people to make fixes or what? Example: Restart the kernel by clicking Restart kernel icon > Restart. No icon image example is shown nor where to find the icon. After hovering over 5-10 icons I gave up and went to Kernel along the top where File Edit View etc... is and selected Restart Kernel. ------------------------------- Do you not get it??? When you are just starting out learning this stuff it is very frustrating when the instructional materials do not match the actual in use product? It also implies that you do not care enough to fix the instructional materials. Surely I am not the first to report these types of inconsistencies, and right about this time it gives the impression that I will continue to encounter more just as I have up to this point. Additionally it make me want to stop entering comments/feedback. I guess I'm done venting, but I feel bad for people with a lot less experience that will struggle to get through this and other courses.

nice to see Jupyter easily used in conjunction with BQand the Console. The data set was a bit confusing though.

Unfortunately, I could not complete this lab... running the command "!pip install google-cloud-bigquery==1.25.0 --use-feature=2020-resolver" did not manage to install hatever was needed to execute the query. Not sure if this is because of an outdated lab, or me just being tired.
