The example query used for showing different between denorm vs norm structure. The normalized query never performed worse than the denormalized version, it even had less slot time and bytes shuffles when I ran it multiple times. (made sure that I don't have cache enabled) Either the example needs more data or it needs to be replaced with an updated one.

It would have been nice to see the denormalized table have array and struct fields and populated directly from the star schema tables.
