I selected EU region, and it was not possible to query the table, but I was still able to preview. Things only start to work when I selected EU multiregion.

some things like explorer pane probably changed in UI across versions which makes the exploring a little bit more time consuming. On the other hand it allows for f around with the tool a little bit more which can be helpful in a long run.

The lab instructions were fine, but there was an issue if you tried to use Auto-detect for the schema in Part 4. The instructor was also unable to pinpoint the problem. Given instructions are pretty clear, but I don't think that an user actually gains understanding of the infrastructure and hierarchy of BigQuery.
