Vertex AI: Predicting Loan Risk with AutoML Reviews

This lab really needs some rework. Of all the labs I've completed so far, this has been the worst experience. I appreciate the attempt at making AI/ML technologies accessible in a student course however the point is lost when Console responsiveness degrades to almost nothing. I'm assuming the ridiculous latency is related to underlying VM(s) attempting to perform model training. If so, why bother with Task 2 at all? The combination of imposing a 60 sec time limit for the user to configure a series of environment variables while the Console lag time degrades to over 5 seconds per key press is an absolute farce. Surely there is a better way to do this? End result is either sheer frustration or disengagement.
