The training does not need to take that long. We can just use a smaller toy dataset. The training process blocks the subsequent steps in the lab, which can be improved. Please take AWS's training lab as an example. We've done a lot of sagemaker training, and they made more sense.

An already trained model should be available in Vertex AI Model Registry. This would avoid waiting the model to complete the training and then explore the Vertex AI Model Registry
