It is an overview, only actually helpful to get to know the interface. I was lost in Task 5 when it said to open a Cloud Shell without telling how to do that. I tried to go through vm instances because that is what I did to access a shell in a previous lab. I poked here and there and eventually was able to open the terminal but, tbh, don't even remember how I did that now that I closed the window.
