This lab doesn't work anymore because JAVA_HOME in the Cloud shell machine points to Java 11 and looks like Beam only works with Java 8. Luckily, Java 8 was also installed in the cloud shell and I was able to set JAVA_HOME like below to get it working export JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/java-8-openjdk-amd64
