Bad experience. Suggested machine setup didn’t work (I used e2-standard4 in US-CENTRAL1 so that it allowed me to create the instance) and overall everything was taking too long, creation of the machine (+10 minutes just in this step) and training. I also wonder if the example is outdated as I don’t see the aiplatform training job reflected in the UI. For the time the processes take, the LAB of course almost timed out, I had 2 minutes left, would have been a very unsatisfying experience if I had to restart it for reasons out of the user’s hands (I was more concentrated in not running out of time than in the code).
