The wordcount job wouldn't run to completion. First issue was the python version mismatch, then it didn't run. I wasn't able to complete. I'll try again.

Error Default python version is 3.9.x but apache-beam[gcp] only support 3.8.x

Hi, Could you please confirm that this lab doesnt work, which is preventing me getting my completion badge this course: Course Name: Serverless Data Processing with Dataflow Lab Name: Setup IAM and Networking for your Dataflow Jobs It seems that the Python version installed using this lab is Python v3.9. However, when running a Apache Beam pipeline I get an error, and it specifies that Python 3.9 is not supported for Apache Beam: Command (running Apache Beam pipeline): python3 -m apache_beam.examples.wordcount \ --input gs://dataflow-samples/shakespeare/kinglear.txt \ --output gs://$PROJECT/results/outputs --runner DataflowRunner \ --project $PROJECT --temp_location gs://$PROJECT/tmp/ \ --region $REGION Error Messages: ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement apache-beam==2.36.0 (from versions: none) ERROR: No matching distribution found for apache-beam==2.36.0 Exception: Dataflow runner currently supports Python versions ['3.6', '3.7', '3.8'], got 3.9.2 (default, Feb 28 2021, 17:03:44) Therefore I cannot complete the lab hence getting completion badge... Can you please advise if that lab is having a problem since Python 3.9 seems automatically deployed? Thank you! JFR

Caution! Is seems that tasks #4 and #4 won't work because of a mismatch of versions for Apache Beam 2.36.0. Here is the error message reported when launching a Beam pipeline: "ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement apache-beam==2.36.0 (from versions: none) ERROR: No matching distribution found for apache-beam==2.36.0"
