the check doesn't take into account MY Timezone and hence kept giving me the error that I hadn't set the calendar event to "one day later". When I realised this, I set the event to my current day and it worked.

Creating the calendar event would automatically set it to Jan 01 1970 - date set in the sample app, therefor I was unable to get full marks for the lab..my guess...transient error

For the Verify the event on Google Calendar, an error occurred that the date should be defined 1 day ahead of the current date even if it has been set successfully. To double check, the calendar event has been created already 1 day ahead from the current date. This may cause confusion for other person who will take this lab.
