Still running into errors, this time the 'tfx-on-googlecloud' notebook never provisioned as the lab instructions say it will. Waited 12 minutes and refreshed page multiple times... this just wasted 40 minutes of my time on this lab, again.

I seem to have come to yet another glitch. When I get to the 2nd task, after being confirmed that I did task 1 correctly by the progress check, the instructions lead me to run two given codes into cloud shell in the prior task, and I should have a notebook titled tfx-on-googlecloud preprovisioned in my workbench under AI Platforms. What i did notice is that AI Platforms workbench automatically directs me to Vertex AI workbench. maybe that might be the issue, as it is still in a transitional stage. I am really beginning to be beyond frustrated at the amount of glitches i have run into in the last stretch of this learning path. It;s almost as if the google platform does not want its users to finish in a timely matter for fear of loosing subscriptions. Is this a money thing? If so, I would think this is a futile measure taken, as many will just take the knowledge they have gained thus far, and continue their studies elsewhere. Whereas if there were no issues, I could easily see users continuing their subscription if only to review vital lesson plans that may be useful in their first career projects. Just a thought.

I could not Initialize lab resources because "the zone didn´t have enough resources available to fulfill the request", so please if you are going to do something: do it well!!

Lab not updated, dependencies from install.sh does not work

It's impossible to pass last verification points. Deploy to AI Platform Pipeline is not tracked properly, service is deprecated. TFX CLI fails with http 400 on invalid region. UPD: seems like initial setup script is for us-central1 while instructions are for us-west1. TFX run fails with an error on model deploy saying that "The provided GCE region 'us-west1' is not available, or your project needs to be whitelisted to use it. Other available regions are [asia-northeast1, europe-west1, us-central1, us-east1, us-east4].". Details: "[{'@type': 'type.googleapis.com/google.rpc.BadRequest', 'fieldViolations': [{'field': 'model.regions', 'description': "The provided GCE region 'us-west1' is not available, or your project needs to be whitelisted to use it. Other available regions are [asia-northeast1, europe-west1, us-central1, us-east1, us-east4]."}]}]"> During handling of the above exception, another exception occurred:" UPD Sept 26, 2023 Lab content has been corrected so now it requests cluster creation in us-east4 region. Also I managed to get a successful job run! Unfortunately, these result are not counted by checkpoints 'Deploy the pipeline package to AI Platform Pipelines" and "Create kubeflow pipeline run using TFX CLI" despite all requirements being satisfied! It's high time to update checkpoints and ensure they works properly!!!1111
