Many of the resources require a project which is not mentioned (and obviously not set). Thankfully I know terraform and just created a variable and set it to the project_id and use project=var.project_id everywhere it was needed The subnet parameter for the "mynet" is incorrect - I had to go to the resource and manually set it to create the instances I also had to manually import the initial VPC and subnet due to a oauth/json error
