1 hour is a bit rushed. I wish there was a bit more insight to commands rather than copy-pasting to cloud shell

A few issue. 1. The last step to copy index.html to index.nginx-debian.html : it failed because somehow I did not have enough permission. I had to copy the content manually (by mouse) from cloud shell to first-vm SSH (sorry, I only had 5 minutes to finish the lab, so I didn't bother to find a way to fix this) 2. When copy the cat.jpg from $MY_BUCKET_1 to MY_BUCKET_2, it failed because $MY_BUCKET_1 has public prevention protection. I had to manually turn this off before running "gcloud storage cp" (this is not a big deal. Dev should learn to work around even if document is not updated. But I think you ought to know)
