Worthless. Four problems discovered in the lab write up. 1. There is no zone us-central1-f on region us-central1. 2. The lab tries to run the pipeline as root. The expression: sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install -y python3-venv # Create and activate virtual environment python3 -m venv df-env is missing. 3. There are insufficient resources available on us-central-1c for this lab. ERROR:apache_beam.runners.dataflow.dataflow_runner:2024-03-25T17:52:07.981Z: JOB_MESSAGE_ERROR: Workflow failed. ERROR:apache_beam.runners.dataflow.dataflow_runner:2024-03-25T17:52:17.941Z: JOB_MESSAGE_ERROR: Startup of the worker pool in zone us-central1-a failed to bring up any of the desired 1 workers. Please refer to https://cloud.google.com/dataflow/docs/guides/common-errors#worker-pool-failure for help troubleshooting. ZONE_RESOURCE_POOL_EXHAUSTED: Instance 'streaming-minute-traffic--03251048-hzeq-harness-3h8w' creation failed: The zone 'projects/qwiklabs-gcp-04-58062c2a50bf/zones/us-central1-a' does not have enough resources available to fulfill the request. Try a different zone, or try again later. (see issue 2.) 4. Installing with pip as root causes an error: WARNING: Running pip as the 'root' user can result in broken permissions and conflicting behaviour with the system package manager. It is recommended to use a virtual environment instead: https://pip.pypa.io/warnings/venv You people can't be seriously charging this organization for such poor quality laboratory experiences.
