Instructions weren't clear enough about connecting to cluster which is required prior to running the last set of commands. Also copying the command line that connects to the cluster and running it manually is NOT recognized on the "check progress" so it shows incomplete until you use the GCP UI for connecting that actually puts the command in the cloud shell for you and then when you run it the "check progress" recognizes that section is done.
