I could not see the expected topology in Anthos Service Mesh, but the shopping app was working including workloads. Labs seems outdated.

update your docs. The topology was a mess and there's no Anthos in the menu. Only service mesh under Kubernetes Engine. Either I'm doing it very wrong (possible) or things are out of date.
