The instructions for setting up the gcelab instance were not clear. In the section where it said to select OS and storage (and subsequent section) it would have been very helpful to mention that these sections had to be selected from the left navigation. I was looking for them to be underneath Machine Configuration and was unable to find them. I ended up setting up my instance with the default settings and had to then delete the instance and start that section over. Fortunately, I was able to figure out how to delete and on my section try, I found the section. I suspect the reason I had trouble was because I come from an AWS background where all the settings go down the page and I'm not yet trained to look to the left for the sections. I know now, but just mentioning it in the lab instructions may help others with the same background. :)
