I needed to add --no-gen2 to the deploy commands; region=us-west1, delete commands.

Lab details and commands are not updated. --no-gen2 arguments needs to be added during the deployment of function so the actual command will look like: gcloud functions deploy ocr-extract \ --runtime python39 \ --trigger-bucket [project_id] \ --entry-point process_image \ --no-gen2 \ --set-env-vars "^:^GCP_PROJECT=[project_id]:TRANSLATE_TOPIC=TRANSLATE_TOPIC_NAME:RESULT_TOPIC=RESULT_TOPIC_NAME:TO_LANG=es,en,fr,ja"

lab was broken. the "--no-gen2" arg has to be added to the function deploy calls or the student gets all sorts of errors with permissions, regions, etc. It is in the info message but so is a lot of not useful info so it is buried. This arg should be added to the code of the lab.
