so much work done, but then not using the functions at all, bit weird just close them

I think the instructions for the lab is very sloppy - in particular on setting environment variables (should be don in the start). Also, the lab omits required IAM policies for the functions. App Engine Service account needs Artifact registry reader role added for the functions to work.

Here were too many problems. I think the instructions for the lab is very sloppy - in particular on setting environment variables. Also, the lab omits required IAM policies for the functions. Hence, I killed it as I did not have time right now to find and fix all the errors.

I uploaded the files to the image storage bucket, both through the cli and ui, and the pipeline worked as spected, getting the transcription and translations, but the checkpoint on the lab could not check my progress on that last item
