Extracting Text from the Images using the Google Cloud Vision API Reviews

An error pops up that the Cloud Functions service account does not have the necessary permissions to retrieve repository metadata for the specified project and location. There should be a step attached on how to grant permissions.

Didn't work. No results showed up in the result bucket, even though instructions were followed perfectly, twice. Manually putting a random .txt file in the result bucket allowed me to finish the lab.

there was an error before deploying a function, setting IAM role to the qwiklabs service account helped: ERROR: (gcloud.functions.deploy) ResponseError: status=[403], code=[Ok], message=[Unable to retrieve the repository metadata for projects/qwiklabs-gcp-00-4441ad9fd628/locations/us-central1/repositories/gcf-artifacts. Ensure that the Cloud Functions service account has 'artifactregistry.repositories.list' and 'artifactregistry.repositories.get' permissions. You can add the permissions by granting the role 'roles/artifactregistry.reader'.]
