just one thing is that, in the final it is to edit the .bash_profile file - which doesn´t exist in /home/googlexxxx_student - I had to create it...then everything was ok...

Cloud Shell has changed and there is no more Settings - just spanner icon and selection of themes is done differently. Also, the .bash_profile does not exist, it needs to be created or .profile file should be modified.
