Instructions need to be updated to direct users to use E1 instances instead of N1. N1 creates resource pool exhausted errors.

Unable to complete lab due to lack of resources in GCP. I also tried AZ US-east1-c but I received the same error, hence my Instance Group never created and I ran out of time in the lab. This is disappointing. Errors from Instance Group: Instance 'lb-backend-example-djcg' creation failed: The zone 'projects/qwiklabs-gcp-01-f0c798344ae6/zones/us-east1-d' does not have enough resources available to fulfill the request. Try a different zone, or try again later.

Compute exhaustion on lab default region. Add to create other template in another region to bypass and finish the lab.
