typing of ip addresses take time. there should be copy paste. The console UI and course instructions do not match sometimes.

I ran into a couple of issues with this lab: * traceroute command is not installed on any of the VMs. I had to run 'sudo apt-get install traceroute' to install it * Networks are now called 'VPC Networks' in Google Cloud Console

This instruction doesn't work at all. instance-3 does not accept SSH. traceroute command does not work at all.

Great lab and was alot of fun, couple suggestions though: 1. When removing the "allow-defaults" target tag in the allow-ssh-icmp-rdp-learncustom firewall rule, you have to change the targets to "All instances in the network" before you can save. 2. Maybe update the networking title to VPC networks to match the website. For example: Products and Services > VPC network > VPC networks 3. Finally, traceroute is not installed by default on the default debian image you get when installing the VM's, maybe add this? sudo apt-get install traceroute google49200_student@learn-1:~$ sudo traceroute cnn.com -I sudo: traceroute: command not found google49200_student@learn-1:~$ sudo apt-get install traceroute Reading package lists... Good lab but time is really limited, especially when you overlooked an instruction and want to figure out what you've missed when you investigate an issue.

a few instructions missing... sudo traceroute doesn't work if you strictly follow the instructions. No reference to ctrl-c when pinging until later on. This doesn't work if you follow the instructions as is--> In target tags sections, remove allow defaults. It will now apply to all targets.

Console interface has changed e.g: Networks to VPC Networks, course should be updated to reflect

traceroute is not installed on the micro VMs.

the sudo traceroute commnads did not work as traceroute was not install on the VMS I created
