Setting up the networks on the vm instance could be extended slightly, as the network and subnets exist on the "interface" option, someone not yet familiar with GCP will struggle to find their way and end up wasting time

The learnauto networks firewall rules were NOT automatically created. I have to create all the rules for both learnauto and learncustom. This was fine as it gave me more practice, just an FYI.

SSH'ing into the virtual machines doesn't work - You need to have Editor or Compute Instance Admin and Service Account Actor roles granted on the project for SSH access. Instead I have to use the Cloud Shell

Needs updating. Cloud Console can apparently expand/edit the subnet range; deleting networks automatically deletes firewalls,etc?
