The Google services are explained, but the SpringBoot part you have to figure out yourself. Also, when you create a new SpringBoot project, it doesn't have maven but gradle by default and so the instructions are not quite correct anymore.

All was OK, but it was a problem with the part of creating the message-processor project from spring-initializer using curl. The command not specify that the type of the project should be maven-project and the project automatically is created with gradle. I had to change this looking for the correct command parameter

Command to generate message processor did not build the pom.xml file.

i couldn't find the message-processor pom.xml file. i went through the instructions several times but never found it. task 8 did not complete successfully. everything else worked.

message processor project has gradle , not maven. Instructions are invalid.

Spring initializr is by default generating Gradle projects. All command to add dependency and run `message-processor` will simply fail if you don't know how to generate mvn project or translate mvm commands to gradle. I did it but other's can have problems. PS please don't use @Autowired in production code, even Spring docs currently say it should be used only in tests.
