Instead of creating Maven project with pom file it created a gradle project

at the end it wasn't a maven project, it was gradle so i couldn't run the daemon correctly

the initializr generated gradle project with he aguments provided. so i had to run a separate command to produce pom.xml and use just mvn instead of mvnw to run the message processor
