The test google API endpoint was not available (gcp-cs-training-01-prod.apigee.net) was getting 404. Also google api key for maps variable was not provided. In order to complete the lab I was forced to enable Google API geocode and generate api key and use prod api: https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/geocode with the generated key
