It's good to provide the reason why the path suffix was added by default. "By default, the path suffix is automatically added to the target endpoint URL. This is why a request to /lab2a/v1/categories went to the categories endpoint in the retail backend service. /categories was the path suffix, which was automatically added to the target endpoint URL."
