I wish it has explained how the table was initially populated by CloudFront, i.e., CF created a Lambda function and scheduled it to run every minute. And I wish the AWS account were granted the permission to list and view the Lambda triggers so that I can see the effect of such configuration created by CF.

Good run through of a Lambda function running against the DB. Maybe a bit too simple.
