In the first function the editor did not allowed to paste code. Did not understand why. In the second function the paste worked.

It didn't really explain to me how the things I cut and pasted actually worked. It just said "look, it worked" but it didn't tell me why. How does the syntax work? I returned something, what does that mean? Why is there an S in front of everything?
